Brooklyn Nets: Same as the Celtics. Once the trade with Boston goes through, the Nets will be a high tax-paying team. They will have use of the taxpayer's mid-level exclusion($3.2 million). But Brooklyn is getting who it wanted.
Chicago Bulls: The Bulls will be a taxpayer nighyear, boundspending mainly to the tax-payer's midlevel excommunication($3.2 million).
Denver Nuggets: The Nuggets are particularto a few basic exceptions to the cap and are not expected to be major players, other than re-signing Andre Iguodala, who opted out of the lastyear of his contact.

Miami Heat: The Heat have been inventiveand persuaded players to play for less in the last few seasons. But they are over the salary cap and luxury tax, limiting their spending power, and will not be after major free agents.
New York Knicks: Another team over the salary cap and luxury tax next season, the Knicks will be limited to a couple of salary-cap exceptions. Their best option is using the taxpayer's midlevel salary exception.
KNICKS: Trade for former No. 1 overall pick
Oklahoma cityThunder: With their payroll over the cap and just under the luxury tax, the Thunder will not be big spenders or major players in free agency.
THUNDER: Sticky situation with Kevin Martin now
Orlando Magic: As the Magic rebuild, spending in free agency will be limited by choice and little cap space.
Phoenix Suns: They have enough to add a few partfor depth, but that's it.
Sacramento Kings: Right now, they have little to spend. That could change depending on what happens with Tyreke Evans and the potential use of the amnesty provision on one of their higher-paid players.
Toronto Raptors: The Raptors do not have much room to spend as new management tries to rebuild with limited options.
Washington Wizards: The Wizards have limited financial resources this summer, and the use of the midlevel exception and biannual exception are their best options for roster improvement.
