After months of nothing, Apple has dropped a new, cheaper summertime fun iPod touch.
The new $229 iPod tactilityis missing some key features establishon it’s more thanexpensive brethren. It ships without a rear-facing camera, only 16GB of storage, and without the lanyard loop found on the rest of the fifth generation iPod stimulateline. It in any caseonly comes in two exciting colors, black and silver.
This maybe it for Apple’s summer releases. WWDC hardware announcement expectations were tempered by the Great Beard of the North. But, apparently they’re working non-stop on something.
(Place your bets: Is it the iPhone 5Si? A 4K Apple TV? Or maybe something wearable? Everyone is making something wearable.)
In the meantime, the summer iPod touch is here to fill in with the new Daft tackyand Vampire Weekend albums. Throw it in your beach bag, and counterall the duck-faced selfies you can muster.
