Dubai launches ladies-only pink ambulance

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Service has revealed what is believed to be the first women’s-only pink ambulance.

The customised responder ambulance will specialise in emergency treatment for women and children, including those related to pregnancy and deliveries.

The service, which is available from 11am to 11pm, will include female medics specially trained in high levels of theoretical, practical and field practices in coordination with Latifa Hospital.

The medics have also been trained by senior doctors and have passed PEEP courses on infant and pre-hospital care, according to Dubai Ambulance.

The new service was launched by Khalifa Al Drai, the executive director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Service.
